About
Before I was a parent, I was an uncle.
I have three nephews — “the boys” — and being their uncle has been one of the great joys of my life. The oldest is now 18, and they’re all in different stages of growing up, figuring out who they are and where they’re headed. Even so, we’ve always stayed close, finding ways to spend time together, talk, laugh, and just be present with one another.
More recently, I fell in love with baking. What started as a fun, creative outlet quickly turned into something I wanted to share — and naturally, the boys got pulled in. Some weeks they’re hands-on in the kitchen, other times they’re taste-testers, idea people, or enthusiastic encouragers. However they show up, they’re part of it.
By the Boys Bakery grew out of that time together.
This bakery isn’t just about cookies, brownies, or whatever’s on the menu this week. It’s about showing the boys that something fun can also be meaningful. That you can take a hobby seriously. That you can build something small, intentional, and real. And yes — that you get to enjoy the delicious results along the way.
I take my relationship with my nephews seriously. I love spending time with them, learning alongside them, and giving them a window into what it looks like to create something with care. Baking together gives us that space — to slow down, to work with our hands, and to share something we’re proud of.
By the Boys Bakery is small-batch, family-centered, and made with a lot of heart. Every weekly menu represents time spent together, lessons learned, and a whole lot of love baked in.
Thanks for being part of it.
